If you’re a big fan of Jane Austen, then this is where you should be.
Long white corridor with a vintage chandelier that leads to all the rooms. This is not just your typical high tea place, they come in two courses of generous servings of savoury and sweets and served in all three separate rooms, Mr. Darcy’s, Elizabeth’s and Jane’s ~ so make sure you come with an empty stomach. We had our high tea at Mr. Darcy’s Tea Room.
The owner, Eileen O’Connell, was kind enough to take me around and show me Elizabeth Bennet’s and Jane Austen’s room where you can see framed photos of where she grew up.
The first serve comes in three tiers of savoury finger foods, assorted sandwiches and mini pies together with our tea and complimentary sparkling wine.
The second course… Mini cupcakes, macarons, mini cakes, cheesecake and scones.
