DIY Terracota Textured Bottles

Happy Start of Another Beautiful Week, Lovelies! šæ
I would like to share a super simple DIY Project that I found online using jars and bottles and painting them with acrylics mixed with baking soda to create a terracotta texture.
All You Need:
Old jars and bottles
Acrylic paints
Baking powder
Paintbrush
Spray sealer
Little tips that I want to share:
š¾ Choose jars or bottles that has unique shapes, heights, sizes and ridges for a more unique-looking vase.
š¾ Allow to dry your first coat completely before doing another one to avoid clumping. Mine was coated twice.
š¾ For every half a cup of paint, I put a teaspoon of baking soda, but you can add more or less depending on how textured you want it to be. The more baking soda, the more texture you get.
š¾ You can use any acrylic paint colours you want. Skyās the limit.
š¾ Feel free to change your mind during application if you donāt like the colour. Acrylics are water-based paints anyway, so just wipe or wash the paint off then dry completely before starting over again, if you change your mind.
š¾ Spray seal to make your paint more permanent. I didnāt seal mine before the video because I was too excited to put my flowers in, but I will!
š¾ Donāt fuss about the process too much. Itās not meant to be perfect. Itās meant to be enjoyed. Trial and error is part of the fun. I find the whole process quite meditating, actually.
I hope this inspires you to have fun creating something beautiful as well. Any questions regarding this project, feel free to ask anytime. š
